It's possible you could maybe get http://code.google.com/p/tesseract-ocr/to work. Though I highly doubt it; not only is it very difficult to work with, it's also resource intensive - probably beyond what a mobile device could handle. However - and I have no idea of your use case - it might be a good solution to setup a web service, powered by Tesseract, and offload the OCR work to it.
