Hi Harvey, We often sail on the Columbia River, and that can mean some substantial time motoring. Downstream sailing is great, but getting back up river can be an interesting chore.

If I had the alternator on my Seagull, it would add a bit to the battery, but (methinks) a solar cell would do it as well, and possibly cost a bit less.
