One thing I might add to Craigs post, if you're converting your existing genoa to use on a roller furler, you'll need to have a luff tape added to maintain sail shape when furling. If you try to furl a standard sail, it'll get too baggy as you reef, which of course is the opposite of what you want under increasing wind conditions. I'll second Craigs recommendation of the CDI. Never had any problem with mine. Larry
