Larry,

I've had topping lifts on most of my various sailboats, would now
not want to be without one. "Rejoyce!"
has a doubled-ended topping lift: one end to a block at the end of
the boom, then to a cleat on the side; other end to a block at mast-
head, thence down to a turning block and back to a cam cleat on the
cabin top. Health requires that I do everything from the cockpit.
Also use the topping lift for port-side only Lazy Jacks, also very
useful for a too-old man. I use a very light line for the topping
lift, but long!
