Safari 2 support will most likely come back in 1.2.1 which should be released soon.

PS: I hope I wont regret these public statements ;)

I have just been a big advocate for MooTools here at my agency and I just wanted to get the official MooTools stance on Safari 2 because I will pull it from our Tech Specs as well. So I'd love to know more as it there is any new info!
