awesome post and all but why i cant comment? i love both jquery and mootools, and i use them for different purposes, as everybody says. I've made plugins for both jquery and mootools, and i understand aaron's point about extensibility, it's real. It's a little hard to extend a jquery plugin the same way you can do with moootools. And it's hard to use two jquery plugins with the same purpose (dumb thing) because they may have written a function with the same name for the jQuery object. well i'm just adding stuff here... have a great day.
