Your right... It amazes me how many different approaches for the
accordion from jquery, scriptulous, mootools, plain javascript..

Wouldn't image rollevers as headers be just a CSS issue?
Or if you mean for the image to change when a section is displayed/
hidden then I think you should be able to attach listeners to the
"active" and "background" events of the accordian.
