Maybe. I can certainly say that we won't spend any time working on the 1.1 codebase. If the bug still exists in 1.2, we would work on it, but in 1.1? Not so much. You should try the upgrade helper. It covers about 98% of the library and the few things it doesn't cover are well documented and easy to convert. If you dropped it in with 1.2, you might find that it works just fine.
