Well, in this case, transitioning opacity is what's needed, so Fx 3.7
delivers. Or rather, will deliver. :)

Matt, I think (Moo?)Modernizr can detect CSS transition support, so
maybe put in the -moz-, -webkit-, (-o-?), and vanilla CSS, and fall
back to a not-quite-as-pretty JS solution. Or perhaps try a different
transition: flying in & out simultaneously, for example. That'd
probably animate better, but its applicability depends, of course, on
the broader scope of your development.
