In my opinion Code completion can be a dangerous thing. One if not paying
attention could tab complete something way away from what they wanted in the
first place but, close enuff to still fire and cause havoc. Two, it does not
keep the API fresh in your head so things tend to slip away making for
lazy/poor code. I have enough of that with out my editor helping me :D

If I had to use an IDE I would go with Netbeans but, in the end I prefer
Notepad ++ with highlighting. Which if need be could support code
completion.
