This is a two part post... First - i posted a bug on lighthouse - there's an exception due to lack of navigator.userAgent here: https://mootools.lighthouseapp.com/projects/2706-mootools/tickets/bins/7083
Second - highlighted by my using of googlebot as the UA (inadvertently so yesterday but I can't imagine as me being the only one) - when it gets to the point where the Browser.name is STILL unknown, why not port the feature-based detection from 1.2 as a last resort fallback? I understand that this may be a limited case and the users' own undoing as well as the need to keep the framework size down... There are also proxies to consider, for instance, http://proxify.co.uk/ strips UA info, I imagine plenty of corporate setups may want to do something similar... As it stands, using 1.2 as googlebot I am fine, but not so on 1.3... I doubt that people like Nick Zakas will pick on this as a last resort fallback.
