The reason that 'ignore' isn't working in your case is because you're creating a new Request each time. You want a shared Request object, like so:

http://jsfiddle.net/6UqAP/7/

Notice how you can click the button five or six times, and the request will only be fired once. Once the request's fired, though, you can send more.

It's strange.
In the Mootools documentation:
Ignore is the default value, however it does not work.

link - (string: defaults to 'ignore')

if you use the option link: 'ignore', no requests will be sent to the server
if theres a request happening at the moment you try to send another.
Your example is form the other mail hehe.
Send the correct and i can show how to set the link options, but its pretty
easy.

Hi,
How do you block the action of a function when it is started and
reactivate when the application is completed?
http://jsfiddle.net/6UqAP/
Imagine that the query takes 10 seconds to appear, if I continue to
click the go button .. other requests are sent to the server.
Is there a way to block the function without changing the name of the
ID?
