Hi Aaron, Thanks for the reply. I know that Delegation+mouseover is bad, and I promise I won't do it. (-; I guess at this point my questions are less about delegation and more about Tips.
As for :once behavior...I guess that makes sense. Without thinking too hard about it, it seems like "once per child" functionality would be more useful than "once per parent", but perhaps that's because I don't have a broad enough view of use-cases, and/or perhaps "once per child" is too hard to implement. Or maybe that's part of why delegation + mouseover is a bad idea. Is that what you're trying to tell me. (-; I get the same behavior with your Fiddle as I did with mine--on the first rollover, I see no Tip, but I see them on subsequent rollovers. I see this behavior in Safari 5.1, Firefox 7 and IE9 (both regular and compatibility mode).
