Whenever you get one of these forward it immediately at
and they will get right back to you. 100% of the time so far, these emails have turned out to be fake , and are attempts to get your information so that your account can be hacked.
Beware: as the days go by, these emails look more, more and MORE official. The spoofers (also known as phishers) are incredibly sophisticated.
My son, who is an IT, gave me this rule of thumb:
NEVER CLICK ON A LINK GIVEN IN AN EMAIL, be it from ebay or your bank or paypal or microsoft or anyone else. You should go directly to the site (https...etc) yourself and conduct business from there.
For example, I never click on the link in an ebay auction to pay by paypal . For extra safety, I just go to www.paypal.com and enter the payment instructions by hand.

3 days ago , I received an email from [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the subject TKO Notice : Urgent Fraud Investigation saying that my eBay account had been compromised and that I was to verify my account by following a certain link. It also said that if I did not update my account within 72 hours, my account would be suspended. I did not click on the link.
72 hours later, I receive the same notice, again. ( see below )
It looks really legitimate, and I certainly don't want my account suspended, but does anyone know if this is a fraud ? Is there an address at eBay that I could write to about this ?
What on earth does "TKO" mean anyway ?
If anyone could help me with this, I would really appreciate it....
