Good Evening Everyone,

It's officially Friday the 13th here in the South, and
our big auction for TheCinemaTrade exclusively on
Movie Poster Bid is set to begin this evening. I've
had some inquiries this week about it, with some
confusion as to where it's going to be held, when to
end, etc. This kickoff announcement/reminder will
hopefully answer many questions. I promise not to
bombard you with blurbs over the next three weeks, but
please do get in touch if you have any questions.

We have over 300 lots in the auction. The bunch is
divided roughly in thirds, with the first 100+ to
begin Friday, August 13th through Sunday, August 15th
and end next Friday through Sunday when the second
phase begins. Almost 40 lots will begin each evening,
from the 7:00 hour and ending near 10:00 P.M.; all are
7 day auctions. So the breakdown is: 3 sections, with
9 groups, starting and ending on the Friday to Sunday
of the next three weekends on MPB. (e.g. Friday the
13th's end on Friday the 20th, etc.) The last round
of the last phase is set to close on Sunday, September
5th.

The lots contain many favorite titles, some obscure
and rarely seen ones, and some very striking pieces.
The bulk are from the 1950s through 70s, but there are
some very nice 40s pieces, as well as some desirable
more recent items from the 80s to current. A list of
titles, with thumbnail and info links can be found
here:

Anyone wishing to bid on lots from the three phases is
welcome to make arrangements to pay at once when all
the bidding activity is over after phase three ends.
Just email me and let me know you wish to do this.
All items are satisfaction guaranteed or money back.
We've done our best to describe condition, flaws, etc,
but if you need further info, don't hesitate to get in
touch.

I'm proud to host this on Movie Poster Bid, a great
new alternative to other sites designed just for our
hobby. Some have asked: why not eBay? Well, the
answer is that I believe in this site enough to make
this debut here and I think that some collectible
pieces in a nice group might serve to bring even more
people to this great site who will find it habit
forming. Conversation continues to this day about
viable alternatives to eBay for the movie poster
world; here is one in living, working order.

If you see lots among our offerings that catch your
interest and would like to bid, take a minute to visit
MPB and register if you haven't already. It's very
quick and painless. The link is
www.movieposterbid.com and you'll be done in no time.

Thanks again to everyone who has helped and inspired
this auction event. I look forward to dealing with
many old and new friends in the next few weeks.

Take care,
Fred Sliman
