Evening MOPO, I can see some of everyone's points in this discussion.
JR, I understand your frustration with clicking on listings you don't collect, but I'm just such a machine-gun surfer/shopper that I guess I'm used to clicking everything in sight that's in English and doesn't say fridge magnet. I can't really direct anything at Jim, though, who has been largely been associated with lobbies on ebay (though not exclusively) and he does put 11x14 in most of his titles that I've noticed. Bruce, you're right, surf/shop long enough and you can often tell the seller just by the title listing. The few characters that ebay allows still can be enough to tell the style of the author after awhile. Jim, you are right, you always list in the proper category (same can't be said for a slew of others.) I don't collect daybills, and find thousands a week in the US section, etc. And with only so many characters allowed to write a title, you get to a hard choice quite often of having to abbreviate title, lose stars, etc. Happens to me more than a little bit. My own horror story/pet peeve is this: I wish ebay allowed unlimited characters for the title so on all my poster and paper listings I could put: NOT A VIDEO!!! My sole neutral was from an inexperienced buyer who thought her Bette Davis/Ernest Borgnine $1.99 lobby card was a VHS! (she profusely apologized when I wrote her to ask why she didn't simply ask for a refund). So for every poster person among us who in a perfect world would like to see a differentiation of type/size, there are millions of others out there who are scratching their heads, trying to figure how to load a half sheet into their DVD player.
