Sure, these daybills are almost as large as a US insert and are super-easy to frame and display. Sure they have great graphics. Sure, they are in English. Sure they have great prices.

Seriously, I have been away for some time but am back for whatever it is worth. And am starting to pick up some movie paper again. My collection consists of Universal and Realart horror, Poverty Row (Monogram and PRC) horror, some 50's horror and some of the "series" really cool detective movies like Charlie Chan, Mister Moto, Mister Wong and Sherlock Homes. I have exactly two 1-sheets: JUNGLE CAPTIVE and BOWERY AT MIDNIGHT. Three inserts: CURUCU (love it! LOL), a Holmes TERROR BY NIGHT and a Realart CALLING DR. DEATH. Everything else are lobby cards or Beligium pieces. I'd rather buy 5 lobby cards from films I enjoy than a single one-sheet from one of them.
ANYWAY - while not yet having purchased an Australian Daybill I have been looking at them and think they are pretty nice pieces in their own right. Given the choice of an American Insert and an Australian daybill, each with similar quality art, I would take the daybill. Why? Because I am not interested in selling. Just obtaining the titles I want!
Now I'm off to ebau to see if my first daybill is in the offing! :-D
