Ok, folks...

Here's a new one...

--  POSTER FIND OF THE MONTH --
                                        Now what do I do?

Today I bought an original Flesh and the Devil (1926) John Gilbert, Greta Garb one sheet for Twenty-five dollars, yes, 25 dollars! It was beautifully framed behind glass.

I took it out of the frame and found it to be in pretty good condition but unfortunately it was badly paperbacked.  There is a lot of bubbling.

So now what do I do?

What does a restoration like that go for and is it worth it?  I saw that a lobby set on this title went for over 3 grand in one of Bruce's/Christie auction back in '92 while a one sheet went for nearly a grand at an auction in 1999.

I want to turn the poster around but would like some advice on how to get the most out of this situation still knowing full well I only paid the 25 dollar purchase price. Restoring this will make it shine.

Any thoughts from the gang...

Warm regards as always,

Glenn

PS: And don't worry Sue, at some point I'll be coming for the UV-Plexi!!! LOL. The wood frame it came with is a real keeper.
