Nicholas Cage once asked me what time it was. I don't mean this to
sound like a flippant comment, which it is, but it's like this: I was
in San Francisco at Peet's Coffee on Polk Street and he came up to me,
wearing a long black cape, with two foxy girls, one on each arm, and
said "Excuse me sir, but could you possibly tell me what time it is?"
Very foppish.

And I'll never forget what I said to him: I said "9:25" (AM).

Channing Thomson can confirm this because he was with me.

This information and $450 can get you a PULP FICTION teaser (authentic)

Hey JR,
When will you ever learn.........? (ha! ha!) I think the
Japanese Apocalypse poster is a nice poster. It's not my cup of tea,
but I do see the value in it to many collectors. A few years back I
was at an auction and Nicholas Cage was sitting next to me. I have
acquired some pieces for him over the years. When the Japanese
Apocalypse Now poster came up, he bid on it and kept bidding until he
owned it and there was some mighty active bidding on that poster. I
thought about it at the time and wondered since his uncle had directed
the movie, one would think he might have another avenue to acquire the
poster than a public auction. I guess this was the easiest path for
him. That was my first experience of seeing the poster up close and it
is a stunning poster, not only because of the artwork but it's size.
It is also unique to our hobby because it is a horizontal poster, much
like the banners of old. I, too, have watched the price on that poster
go up and up and that's what makes our hobby fun, varied tastes and a
buyer for everything. Hope you are all well.

Freeman,

OK... I can see we're firmly back in eye-of-the-beholder territory
again... I should have known better than to ask. For those not already
familiar with this image (which I do like better than MIDNIGHT COWBOY,
but still have my doubts about it as it is essentially
photographic/photo realistic and very mechanical...) you can see it

jR. freeman here

The Japanese Helicopter style has consistently hovered at
1000-1200. The one specifically you are addressing is stone mint
rolled unbacked and includes a 100% archivally sound and very
premium wood frame with a wedge style acid-free linen matte with
Museum grade plexi by one of the premiere frame galleries in Los
Angeles...... Considering the size (40" x 58") this is easily a
500-600 dollar framing.
So do the math its a deal, and the poster is a presentation
piece that commands any room its displayed, its sheer visual
force give neocons erections and will have your you paid too
much German Peak of Brando cowering by its sheer insignificance.

..........why I know all this is of no importance unless provenance a
big thing for some
