Donnie just posted an incredibly simply solution to the eBay "Buy It Now"
problem. It is so simple and low-cost that it is absolutely amazing that eBay
has not put it into place already. It would work. It bears repeating for those
who missed it:
"Consider this...
Why don't they add a simple "human recognition screen" immediately after you press "buy it now" But BEFORE you can "CONFIRM" You know... One of those little boxes with the squiggly numbers & letters that a computer/robot can't resolve? This would make these "serial bidders" manually enter every auction. This would of course GREATLY reduce the impact of their STUPID & ARBITRARY 3 day reign-of-terror policy... Based upon eBay's cumbersome/sluggish systems? I figure the tally would drop from roughly 18,000 screwed up auctions... to maybe 5 or 6" -- JR
