But occasionally someone sends me a few posters from a country (or an "odd-sized" special U.S. poster) and I don't have enough of any of those sizes to build an entire week around. So every six months or so I take ALL those "odds and ends" unfolded posters, and make one auction out of them! Last week I sold all of those "odd" posters that were unfolded (so I could send them all in tubes).
This week I sell all the "odd" items that are flat, but which are greater than 11" x 14" (even fully folded) so I have to send them in large oversized mailers. By selling them at one time in a special "oversized" week, I can get all the difficult to pack items sold at one time, and then I won't have to deal with them for 6 more months
Whether or not you intend to bid on any of these items you should look them all over, for many of them will surely have images that are new to you (and you will enjoy looking at them, even if you are only "window shopping"). And because ALL these started at just 99 cents with NO RESERVES on any of them, every one will surely sell! This is a really great chance for collectors to possibly get window cards, pressbooks and cool non-U.S. posters for bargain prices, and how many times will that happen to you over your collecting career?.
I added these 580 items on Tuesday, October 5th (starting at around 7 PM CST) as 7 day items, which means they end Tuesday, October 12th, starting at the same time. Because we started all these items at just 99 cents each, many of them are still currently absolute steals! As of this writing (Sunday afternoon), around 25% of the lots are still at just 99 cents(!), around 55% under $5, around 70% are at $10 or under, and around 85% are at $20 or under. And the 15% that are over $20 are still almost all way under their official "retail" prices (the ones you could find anywhere else!).
Given there are so many places you can purchase vintage movie memorabilia, doesn't it make sense to buy where there are no reserves, the items are accurately described, the bidding is run by a third party (eBay, not me, and I have no clue how much you are bidding) and when you win an item or items it is shipping promptly, incredibly well packed, and you are only billed a reasonable U.S. shipping charge, no matter how many items you purchase in a week?
I know it can be extremely difficult to look over 580 items in just a few days, but remember you can use Bruce Hershenson eBay Auction Gallery (which is located at http://www.emovieposter.com/section_ebay/gallery.cfm ) which has large thumbnails of all our eBay items, and links from each item to the actual eBay auction. Best of all, this gallery is searchable! You will really find this a great benefit if you want to look at all of our items this week! You can simply browse all of our current items by viewing the images in this gallery (48 to a page) in our number order, or you can use our search to only see thumbnails of your specific search terms (in our number order)! NOTE THAT THIS GALLERY NOW HAS A RECENT BID PRICE LISTED BY EACH ITEM, AND THE PRICES ARE UPDATED AT LEAST ONCE A DAY!
Be sure to check out these 580 items sometime before they end Tuesday, October 12th, starting at around 7 PM CST (either by going to http://tinyurl.com/2cxv5 or by using the link from my HOME page, http://www.emovieposter.com or by looking me up under my eBay user ID, emovieposter.com). Good luck on whatever you may bid on!
Bruce
