I think the major flaw of the feedback system is price. The cost of each item should be posted with the feedback. I have seen too many people buy 10 to 20 items in a few weeks and each item under $5. As soon as they reach 10 or more feedbacks they start selling items in the three to four figure range. Most people are careless and will not take the time to check out a seller. To me, a person who buys 20 dvds at 10 each and then lists a $1000 poster needs scrutiny.
The same goes for bidding. A person may have 100 feedbacks but all are for related items such as computer equipment. All of a sudden the person is placing bids on a $1000 poster and does not bid on movie posters at all except for this one. Again, we must suspect foul play. How many people check?
