Mark,
You just posted on Mopo access to your website (which is
screwing up overlaying text over other text panels) which with great fanfare
promotes your autographed onesheets. Mark, could you
please elaborate on how you or your company claim the authenticity of these
signatures or for that matter the posters signed on. The last ShoWest
convention I attended, I visited along with other publicists what I believe
was your companies small gallery in one of the casino hotels. Now I am
literally with the VP's of publicity from some of the studios whose film
posters you are selling and there were numerous titles that we know didn't
have press junkets so when were the stars assembled to sign a poster?
This is especially true with Fox and the Star Wars posters being
sold. Lucas and Ford will not sign memorabilia except in the
rarest of instances and usually limited to a personal
request. Also no effort is made on site to reveal
measurements of poster so as to know again if vintage or not.
You note the Certificate of
Authenticity but as we all know that and a good laser printer is all the
authenticity the more than 11 signature galleries on Ebay shut down for
fraud needed.
Also there is a practical
issue. Your posters seemed all rolled and mint. I have
actually procured sigs at a press junket from the stars attending and
literally one has to go from suite to suite to secure them. It
doesn't take long and there are wrinkles and the like and at the very
least different writing instruments. All of yours are
without flaw and most of the sigs in the same pen. Are we to think
these people all corraled in one room to wait and sign posters? It
simply doesn't happen.
