I just had a parcel kicked back by customs from vancouver saying that it had improper declaration of goods as I had sent some free samples and a replacement to a customer. I took the parcel to the po and they said they would call me tommorrow as Im requesting they resend it or give me a refund. so this is very important Craig Goebel wrote: Wondering what has happened to the items that I have purchased from US buyers in the last month or so, I was about to initiate contact with each of them who used USPS to see whether there was a prospective delivery time / date. Before doing so I was made privy to the following information. This morning in the Vancouver "Sun"  daily newspaper there was a brief article advising that the USPS had apparently unilaterally decided to route all parcels destined for western Canada (presumbaly from Manitoba to British Columbia) through Vancouver's main post office!  As a result of this decision there has been an ongoing backup of parcels required to go through Canada Customs, so much so that there are now in excess of 150,000 parcels waiting for clearance; Canada Customs states that it hopes to clear these parcels before Christmas(!). So, a parcel sent from Green Bay to Winnipeg is now not going through a direct or even mid-west US route, but is going to the west coast then back east - incredible but true, sadly.
