Hello All,
I just read the long message that Eugene put out. First of
all, I think he should reread my post. I was even talking about him with the
poster. In fact, I said that I was completely surprised to even hear any
problems associated with him. I mentioned that if one were looking for him, they
might try to contact Ray Bell as he knew Eugene well. So, if you are out there
Eugene, don't include me with your "lying a-hole" list. It bears repeating
though, that if one is going to take someone's money, it is incumbent
on one to deliver the product as promised.

Hughes
Talk about "not showing remorse"... at the end of his explanation page,
Eugene says:
"I have had family problems to deal with and they take priority. Deal
with it."
I'm sure we are all sorry to hear it. But we ALL have family problems.
Yes, many of us have had recent deaths in the family as a lot of us have
parents and other relatives who are now very old. But we maintain our
professionalism. If we can't, we STOP TAKING ORDERS and return the work we
can't do with an apology to our customers. We don't continue to bite off more
than we can chew. We don't pretend that it's OK to screw people just because
we're having problems.
If Eugene couldn't do the work -- for whatever reason -- why didn't he
just send the posters back to the people who asked him to? How much time and
effort would that have taken? He probably couldn't return their money
right away, but at least they would have had their posters back. That
alone sure would have eased people's minds and PREVENTED all of this
public discussion and SAVED Eugene's reputation, which is now completely
shot. And he shot it himself. His lame attempts to blame other people for the
results of his own auctions is just pitiful.
Causing other people problems just because you have problems is NOT
acceptable behavior. And Eugene has played this sympathy card far too often
and for far too long now for it to have any real meaning at this point.

Eugene Hughes & Joe DePrenda On A Rippoff Customer Spree!?!?!?
WARNING to MOPO members: The "F" word is imbedded in the
message below, but it's necessary to the body of this post. An update
on the Eugene Hughes situation: I received an e mail from Eugene today
with a UPS tracking number for my posters, which were apparently shipped
today. Like many of you, I have been waiting a long time; I sent Eugene
10 posters back in early April, got 8 of them back a couple of months
ago, and the final 2 are being sent as per above. Hopefully, they'll be
here by next week...... Eugene also included a
link in his email, http://linenback.com/DudeWhereAreMyFuckingPosters.html.
As you can probably tell by the url, there are some R-rated (and very
heated) statements in Eugene's message, and it's evident our boy's been
under a lot of stress....a LOT of
stress..... I have always personally liked
Eugene immensely, and I am truly puzzled by this whole episode. Like
Sue, I didn't see this one coming at all. While Eugene could be
maddeningly slow at times, (from biting off more work than he could
chew, I suspect), I never took him for a thief, and still don't.
DePrenda & Hernandez were upfront, proven rip-off artists. Eugene's
situation is just...bizarre. I don't claim to understand what's going
on, but I just hope this is an indication that there may be light at the
end of the tunnel. I will let the group know when I receive the
posters. For those who wish to contact Eugene,
his return address from his e-mail to me is: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Greg
