Michael (and all):

While I'm at the office right now and don't have immediate access to the unsubscribe records, the last time I checked (Tuesday night) no one had unsubscribed from MoPo since October 23rd, if my memory is correct. We've had a lot of new subscribers over the past 30 days, but no "running for the exit" by long-time members.

As I said in an earlier post, using a DEL key should be SOP on MoPo. If you don't want to read a post, just DELETE it. When folks complain about whether certain posts on MoPo are "appropriate" I often wonder how they deal with the mountains of SPAM they receive and who they complain to about that problem. (I get probably close to 200 a day on my home and office accounts). My DEL key works just fine.

If we narrow posts on MoPo to only For Sale/eBay type ads (which has been the trend over the past months), don't you think we've lost our soul--not to mention usefulness?

Well Ed, there's an easy way to get a general sense of how many people agree with you.

Hey Scott?

If it's not too much trouble, would you be able to tell us how many people have unsubscribed in the past several days... or however long this thing has been going on?  Is it more than normal?

Just curious.

Sincerely,

This is all so retarded.

I hope many of us realize that.

Could these conversations take place offline?  Maybe have your own distribution list for those involved?
