Don't let them get you down. You did a great job the past week with all the weirdness, and you can't let one e-mail send you in such a tailspin (I know I have been guilty of the same, but it is easier to see it from the outside).
I am going to sleep now, but before I do, here's a suggestion. Movie
Poster Talk recently split off their For Sale posts and they quickly added
another 100 members. I am not saying you should do this with MoPo, but it
did seem to help Movie Poster Talk, so here is a suggestion:
Why not limit each member to two posts about each group of items they are
selling? It seems to me that one e-mail when they put the items on and one
when they are close to closing is enough for everyone, and if all the
dealers stuck to this (with gentle prodding of violators) then the ratio of
For Sale posts to talk posts would change greatly, and it would probably
inspire both more talk and also more actual reading of the dealers posts (I
can't be the only one who deletes most of them without reading, because
there are so many), which would be good for everyone.Why not put it to a vote (and a secret one, where they e-mail you personally, so everyone feels free to give their real views) and then see what the majority wants?
