hello Mopo- Ive had some thoughts on recent events on Mopo..and B -list
and society in general.
Today My son before going to school was so frustated as the 16mm film he
has beemn shooting
has been a series of let downs.. see. hes spent about 600.00 on film..
each time we cal Kodak, they send us film from La. colorado, NYC.. then
we have to send it back to NYC for processing..
hes compared it to strumming a guitar chord and waiting a week to hear
it back... Now the 1st two rolls
came out 1/2 frame jumping either because it was loaded wrong or the
Bolex camera was broke..shutter alighnment.. Ok so he got another
camera.. shot 11 100 foot rolls of reversal 2740... and then some was
overexposed.. ( he is supposed to have the film done DEc-5.. so then he
wanted video transfer to
mini dv so he could do editeing but you need a 5 blade shutter projector
or a camera that captures 24 frames..
so thats like 10 cent a foot or we get a telecine projector...anyway its
a sci fi film about a Guy that orders a mail order Robot to detox him//
see Tommy is deslexic so he never has a written script
and he just shoots as it in his head... he built the retro Robot
costume.. anyway he only has a
fragment shot and he now has to make decisions on what to do Budget
wise.and edit by cut theold way so he has a actual film that tells a
story withe the elements he has...
the point Im getting at and how this relates.., is everyone seems to be
operateing like this.. we see a goal but as far as getting there... well
stuff Happens.. and we get SETBACKS in all areas of life... and since
Life in 2004 is so sped up we can never rest,, and just relax and
regroup..Ive spoke to many on the west coast as I considered a move..
many are on the second refinance of property pulling eqiuty out to pay
off debt.. thats stressfull
along with uncertainty and continued stress elevators like -War,
terroisom, and economic
fears... at the same time we have had many Pluses.. Like recent price
upswings in auctions..
and what could be a resurgence in Buyer confidence..and what seems like
a new awreness that we need to SIMPLIFY..aka,, Stop and smell the Roses.
Today.. my fed ex delivery person had a kid in a car pull in front of
her BIG square fed ex truck..
and they collided ( smashed) ... destroyed his car, and the truck was
twisted...so I stopped and asked if I could help her.. as imagine a fed
ex driver... they are so pushed each day to be on time..
well I said,, are you OK..?. she was just shaken... and so I offered
help ifshe needed it
and she seemed to be gratefull someone was there to console her.. simple
thing eh?? ... but Im sure
needed at that moment.. Thats when it hit me// people everywhere just
want someone to stop and tell them hey your OK.. and carry on.. then
they may consider hey... maybe I can pass it on..
pretty soon the reverse of anger, rage, unforgivness , hostility can
happen.. we can create more Love.
so what better time this year to just to be differant or add some
extra warmth... as recently this real-estate person said ; " TOM its all
about being out for # 1.. thats what everyone is doing.". well..... then
be rebelous and secretly
break the chains of hate even if its giving something like 50 cents..
Today i threw some pocket change in a salvation army barrell.. the bell
ringer was so hoarse from asking he could barely talk..
Imagine ringing a bell all day to get money??? what a gig.... do they
deserve it???
well what do we deserve???? what???
so when I see a Amanda attempt to rally poster people to do something..
I think if people everywhere just have the attitude to do something
thats better then plotting to rip off people..
and even if it gos to charitys that may abuse it... well who am i to
judge whos who.??
I figure my heart is in the right place if they steal it then its thier
problem....and may be it will show them people care... so its the
positive message
Thanksgiving is interesting as are Holidays because so many get sad
because all the hurts get clear when they see familes together laughing
and jovial..and they have issues they feel lonley and hurt
so through Movie poster collecting Scott and donnie have assembled
some very loving people and at the same time, some odd dysfunctional
types like me.. I mean imagine me going to Home depot
and strikeing up the merits of Movie memorabilia,, lininbacking.. or
what do they think of a 40,000 Lobby cards..
want to see people fall asleep at light speed.. One day a old lady shook
her fist at me and said " I know what you do in there . I know what you
do!! shakeing her fist...I said what do you think I do.?? she
replies.." III Know""" with disgust.. { she thought I ran a porno shop)
the word " Hollywood" In the midwest usually denotes ,,, sleaze and
Porno.....
wheras on Mopo if I decribe a stone litho poster in lush detail
i can cause 40 people to have a orgasm simultaniosly.... Capish..????

I mean lets get real people....!!! and also... I wouldnt be surprised
If someone didnt get
breathtaken with Images as some are very Erotic.. hey Guys who didnt
do a date with a Playboy magazine.at one time or another... whoopps It
was just me.??.. ok nevermind,, sorry...I look at articles only:).. as I
was Looking... I mean saying.:)
some Poor fool right now somewhere is probably boinking a beanie baby
stuffed teddy bear,, as people have the wierdest fantasys and
fetishes..( No Im Not into Teddy bears.. But Girls in Teddys are pretty
cool. I must say....:) excuse me my mind is wandering....
anyway.....I guess my point is... if I dont digress even further...
Is... this year.. why not help
all you sick friends that have anger issues.. are just rude.. and have
bugged the shit out of You
and try to give some compassion by giveing a fruit basket... or a Pie...
George Carlin recent book.... or just call them on the
phone and say I love You! and see if we can reverse the hurt we all
have experianced in many areas..
its so easy to hate.. it makes poison in us... but when we Love it makes
endorphins and makes
us feel better.... Rage robs us of focus and energy.. Love give us
purpose and all the warm fuzzy
feelings ...anger usually ends in destruction/// ( except when
undoing rusty Bolts)
then its good,, cuss and get mad at it all You want..:) damn frickin
Rusty BOLTs I hate them!!:)
so in closeing... Give some stuff to Amanda as she seems to want to do
somthing Good and thats great.. but only do it if you want to.. not from
pressure.. as maybe you have a personel project..
Or dont give anything... maybe you need to focus at home.. but it would
be cool to hear about some happy stuff on Mopo of people over the
holidays being made more comforted..

experiances.
and may all the hurts be a little softer or erased..
