Tim Burton complained to Bruce Hershenson about having to register before bidding on one of his catalog auctions. According to the email that Bruce ran in his weekly club newsletter, Burton was so miffed that he refused to register/bid.
Keith Hernandez, the Mets baseball player, used to attend the monthly movie posters shows at St. Xavier on 16th Street in NYC. I can't remember what he bought, but he was a true movie poster fan & a very nice guy. Those shows were great & are truly missed... Never personally sold anything to a celebrity, but lots to their relatives.
