Since the rest of you unlucky folk are not here
today, I am sending these greetings to all my friends
at MOPO and Style-B (I ask Donnie to forward this
since my Style B email is still defunct).
It's been great so far and we are off to enjoy the
rest of the day. As usual the Lord allows us to enjoy
the weather (about 1 in 10 is really awful) and it's
in the low seventies with only a slight possibility of
rain.
If you want to see some live events, go to NOLA.com
and check our the live webcams.
I can't attach any pics yet but I will send some
later.

Now: if you want to see the real backstage of Mardi
Gras, check out my neighbor Eddie's candid shots from
the stage area and during the Bacchus parade--- one of
the biggest and the most eagerly awaited parades of
the year.

The pictures start with one of New Orleans native,
actor Ed Nelson-- who will be remembered by many of
you who are old enough. Keep on clicking and you will
marvel!!

Bacchus started the tradition of Celebrity monarchs.
This year's Bacchus was Sean Astin and last year's
"returning monarch" was Elijah Wood. My friend Eddie
who marched got some fabulous pictures. I'm attaching
a link to his photo album. Note the wonderful picture
of Bacchus Sean dancing at the after-Ball with his
little daughter.
Let me remind you that the pictures are copywrighted.

Gotta go rat the streets!!

I'll be back to you soon. Enjoy!!

Joe Bonelli (in New Orleans!! At last!!)
