assemblage of movie posters and More!
Today I receivd a Copy and I think I have blown a blood vessel, wet my
pants and am in severe pop culture shock..!
basically about 75% of all posters you may have thought about, looked at
and admired are in that catalog.. Its the size of a small city phone
book,, has some of the nicest Images and has items
covering about the entire history of Motion Pictuures. On the Passion
meter this gets a 10 +.!
You sense a great love of Film from not only Ramone , But the whole
lineage From Ron Moore
Grey Smith and all others that contributed.
The Intro From Kirk Hammett of Metalica and rob Zombie will set the mood
for this historic sale.
Its Funny, as I dont have any idea if I ever sold anything To Ramone..
However I have a loose connection as Hammett mentions Glenn Danzig of the
Misfits,,and Glenn and the Misfits came in my shop and I remember liked
the aurora monster kits and magazines. and believe it or not I was a
promoman
booking agent and worked on a Gig where we booked the Ramones in Toledo
about 1978-79
at stage 51 in Toledo.. I had a comedian open for the ramones. named '
Johnny Ginger" who was a children show
host open with some standup comedy. He played ' billy theKidd" in "" the
outlaws is Comeing"
a three stooges film with Adam West. I remember we had a very good crowd
for the show.
So this whole thing is surreal to me as anyone that has seen my mutteings
on MOPO knows that
what i profess about collecting and its meaning and treatment is being
done and handled in exactly how I envisioned it should be
in this sale. That is, its being given back to the collectors. BRAVO!!
BRAVO!!!!
And Ramones estate will benifit. So everyone wins. what a fine Job
everyone has done on the sale.
