Fellow Mopo's,
I attended last night's first session of Grey's Heritage Auction. In
overall, it was one great success. It is about time. The Attack of the 50ft
Woman one sheet sold for $8,000 including the auction fee. This must
be the highest price achieved ever for this lot. Entire auction went very well.
Some items sold above the estimates. I got lucky and won one lot. The poster I
was hunting down since many years and now I have it. A piece that has a lot of
history and value to me. I thought it will go way up but thanks that it did
not.
I was also after another lot but it went WAY too high. I also saw some
great deals for some lots. A great blend of items with various prices. The
Hotel for Women sold for $6,900 including the auction fee. Body Snatcher
one sheet for $4,312 including the auction fee. Cat People went for $11,500.
The big day is this afternoon. It will be one event. It is always great to
see and talk to Grey and Ron.
Congratulations to Grey and the entire Heritage Auction team for a great
auction.
