Hello Eric
What I did is the following:
I bought 2 foamcore sheets 4 ft x 8 ft each, from an art supplies store. Try and choose the ones that are as flat and perfect as possible. The biggest problem is transporting them to your place, flat! I have a friend with a large van, he he .
I then cut up an 8 ft long piece of heavy linen, about 10 inch in width, you can double it up for extra strength.
I place the 2 pieces of foamcore, side by side, standing up along their long side, and using duct tape, tape the linen to both foamcore sheets, so as to create a "bottom". or "pocket", if you will. Essemtially, you are creating a giant "portfolio", made up of a foamcore front and back, seperated by about 1/2" - 1" of space for storing large posters, and these are held together by the strip of linen you tape to them, that acts as a "botton", or "cradle".
You lay this construction on the floor, place as many posters as you want, close it, so that the posters are between the 2 foamcores, raise it so it is against the wall(long side down), seal it on top, if you wish, with more duct tape, and...........get this.............PLACE IT BEHIND YOUR SOFA!!!!
What you have is a hardly noticeable white-on-white(assuming you have white walls) wall patch, it takes up ONE INCH OF FLOOR SPACE! and your sofa holds it in place!
If you really want to be smart and thorough, you then place this whole thing on 3 small pieces of 2"x4", one on each end, and one in the middle, so it's off the floor. That is against any accidental flood or spillage.
There you have it.
Patent pending.
Regards, Zeev

Can anyone recommend a good way to store linen backed 3 sheets and other large posters, like 40 by 60's flat? Thanks, Eric EK
