OK FOLKs.. warning... warning... DO not attempt to remove tape from a Poster like me,,,
If you value LIFE or anything close to sanity... I decided I would do a Poster by myself useing some simple items.. as I will itemize/// 1 box of Kleenex.. a Box of cotton Balls, a toothpick, some Q-tips and a number 2 pencil. a smal exacto. a burnisher a brush, a razor blade very dull.... some easyclean, some windex, a can Of Bonami ( shaker can) some " Old english" a small bottle of "SPIC and Span" a box of 20 mule team Borax, some comet cleanser , 1 pint lacquer thinner, turpentine, paint thinner, some jewlers Rouge, Formula 409, a can off OOPs,, liquid plumber , some lighter Fluid( Bronson) 1 quart of keosense, some DENatured alcahol. some Mek , some aceatone.. some shout. a squeegee, a small utility knife, severallwooden popcycle sticks , a sponge. some distilled water, some hydrogen peroxide, some spirit gum remover and a small pail Of oats. Now.. after I assembled my items.. I carefully took a small dixie Cup and began to experiment of the Poster at hand.. which was for My experient a low end poster from the 90s.... it was " Flubber" with Robin williams --- OK..??. so it had some tape and something else glued on it like a piece of Flubber.. i suspect.. so i think no problemo Ive been studing the posts and I am feeling like a tech from the louve...I am "Pastashio the Poster restorer." yes.. ? .... so I carefully lay out the poster on the table.. and then take the paper cup and with a fine camel hair brush I begin to blend.. small amounts of additives to see what reaction I would get on the posters.. OK.. everything was Cool.... and i was feeling very proud..and PROfessional... I even wore a apron like the real guys do... and I had a Loupe..we we??:) ( oui oui) yes it was a amazeing site.. I could have been on the cover of Poster restoration weekly. until I added the 20 Mule team Borax... thats when Folks. It all went to hell... . all i can say is Im lucky to be hear.. I heard a sis... could have been a swoosh... or perhaps... awoosh... I wasnt paying to much attention as My pants flew off at the same time.... then I think I saw Lightning,,,, and well... the table, and Poster, are in the neighbors backyard.. and they dont seem impressed..lucky I had a door open// so..... please.. for the sake of mankind... dont try to be a rocket scientist and mix chemicals like a do do bird like me.. and to think I was looking for small stains,, geesh.. also I have forgotten My recipe.. but I know that 20 mule team is a definate no no.. may everyone have a safe easter and all your tapes come of clean and safe..
