Rich... moving a collectables Inventory can be a Bitch... especially if you
move it out... then back in then back out... I am cosidering become a Moving
specialist..
the good part is you do learn after awhile to glean... I have given away so
much yet it replicates over night.. plus My ex amnd my son are also pack rat
Obsessive compulsive.. so we have several stages before it goes out
like the pananma canal Locks..
I have stared learning that lettin go is best... as the stuff may sell but if
you get a regular flow going or deal with one collection at a time for me
thats bes.. By no means am i recovered..
But i can totally understnd your situation.. just remember you didnt get all
this overnight so it takes time//
WARESHOUSE and STORage are CULPRITs.. I have a friend that is renting 4 units
at 50 per month to storei would guess 1000 worth of stuff..
people get stuck holding crap as security ,, its a national epidemic.. dealers
told people that beanie baies wouldhelp kids go to college well maybe teh TY
guys Kids>>:)
anyway... be carefull on storage do the math.. 250.00 x 12 = 3000.00 r a years
worth of a new car payment.. thats what ive done and if i have 5000 in the
unit i would be surprised..
but I cant find time to empty it.
so I pay... DONT get in the trap...! answer sell it before you lose it... or
croak..
or it desinigates... I suggest.... send it To heritage..
now you can pick out a small amount of keeper stuff and then display it or
sell it the other
do the math.. and figure how many years it will take... I bet 5 to sell it...
afraid it will all dry UP..?
nada.. It may even be saved to a bunker where some museum will save it,, or
sell it off cheap to newbie collectors ... seeing their eyes pop out will be
so much fn and memorable event that money will be secondary.. Do cinevent in
columbus and that way you can not pay storage but get Money..
I speak from 5 years of pain and having to move unwillingly
after this I mayhire out to help people in this Business let GO...
I hope this helps.. Just weed out the junk 1st.. keep some killer and sell of
all the rest!
best, Tom
