Forgot to mention...
The only "Canadian Conspiracy" I've ever been involved with was when we were the very first people on the planet to come out publicly and say: someone's bootlegging inserts from top titles of the 70's. And, Jeez, look how that turned out! I wonder if we'll ever get the egg off our faces... ;o)
Cheers,
Bob

MoPo and MPT members.
Bob Brooks and the rest of his Canadian friends are true conspiracy theorists. I will not comment on those parts of his e-mail that don't concern me, but I REALLY want to set the record straight on one issue (if I had endless time, I would write more about what he writes about me, but I don't; I would rather sell movie posters than respond to these sad smears and rumors, none of which are backed up with facts of any kind).
But let me state this (as Jon Warren has). AT NO TIME EVER, either in the past or present, have I discussed with Jon Warren in any way my potentially selling items through his coming marketplace. He has never mentioned it to me, and I have never mentioned it to him. I have NO plans to begin selling there (other than to list my fixed priced items, as I have listed them on MoviePosterBid.
Where did the Canadian connection come up with this idea? As usual, they took a single fact, and then used their deductive reasoning powers to embellish and expand it, until they have pure fantasy, and before long they are repeating that it is "likely".
In this case, it was Jon Warren telling a member of his forum that he knew FOR SURE that I would be leaving eBay. The Canadian connection took this FACT and decided the only way he could know FOR SURE that I would be leaving eBay was that he had made a deal with me to sell through his site, and they have now widely reported this.
Of course, none of them bothered to simply ask Jon or myself how he knew FOR SURE that I would be leaving eBay. The truth is that he knew this because I told him so in a phone conversation. I told him I did not yet want to reveal my plans yet to him or anyone, but that it was 100% I would do so, and that he could bet any amount of money on it. He knows nothing of my plans for leaving eBay, and no one in the hobby does as yet.
I imagine Jon will either respond or not respond to the rest of Bob Brooks' e-mail. Contrary to what Bob believes, Jon and I am not joined at the hip, and we don't consult each other before we send e-mails.
Bruce
