I had a couple of communications with him and I found him a valuable resource and a wonderful person.
He will be missed greatly, not only by MOPO, but by the collecting community. We only corresponded or spoke a dozen or so times during my 12-15 years of collecting. We weren't particularly close, but I think that may be why I feel such a loss. Louis seemed to make every conversation about posters feel like an important one. He seemed to really care about the posters we discussed...and that they were posters I cared about. In my dealings with him, he was simply a very nice man and true gentleman in the hobby. (And we all know there are some in this hobby who may not be classified as a "gentleman" after their passing.) I will miss Louis and, more importantly, I think our hobby will miss Louis.
