I know my Bette Davis movies, and I can say that THE LETTER is mostly
known for the line "Peter, give me the letter," which, in the 60s,
comics would love to parody as "Pet-ah, give me the lett-ah."
Otherwise, NOW, VOYAGER, JEZABEL, DARK VICTORY and, surely, ALL ABOUT
EVE are better known as movie entities inseparable from its star. I
would suggest that THE LETTER is desirable because it's a good looking
poster and (with the exception of JEZABEL) has more dramatic content
than the others.

THE LETTER is not only one of the top Bette Davis movies -- it was
directed by the legendary William Wyler and is based on a play by W.
Somerset Maugham. The film is also considered a true classic and the
one-sheet poster is fantastic especially as it was produced by Warner
Bros. My thoughts on this particular poster is that it has been
traditionally undervalued and should probably be selling more in the
$3,000. range. Additionally, it's not like you can just call anyone
up
and order the poster -- very few dealers or collectors would have it,
upping the value as a consequence. This is a case where true rarity
and quality of product merge to yield high value.
