>>I have no problem with buying low and selling for much higher.  I do wonder though why advertise that you've made a killing>>

(Just got back from some R&R so i'm a bit late to the party on this thread)

On the old Jack Benny radio show (not that I remember) Ronald Coleman occasionally played Jack's neighbor. In one rehersal Coleman asked Benny what his motiviation was in the scene -- and Benny responded: "Your motivation is to get the biggest damn laugh you possibly can!" It's the same for dealers, we're out to make the biggest damn profit we can - but bad form is, well, just rather bad form.

And honestly, David, no offense is meant here, just a cautionary tale.

Ed Flood has it right. I doubt many people have an objection to David Lieberman making his markup, it's the gloat factor that makes it a bit tacky - perhaps a factor in the all the responses on this thread.

There are several MOPO members who no longer respond to David's WTB pleas, me included - simply because he doesn't answer. A simple, "I'll pass" would be helpful. So, now if I have something David wants, I just don't offer to sell it to him. He might just have gotten a good dealer price, since I use the same model as Freeman and some others here.
