seemed sucha terrible waste of a great ;ife and great talent.
I went to visit the wife of a mate who was then palying in a high
profiler heavy metal band.
We rolled a couple of numbers and listend to pre-Army albums for a
couple of hours.
As was /de rigeur/ with us, we didn't have sex.
We just wished it was all another way and the he hadn't wasted his life,
or been surrounded by arseholes who seemed determined to
destoy him at his expense.
If he were alive today, shed of the shit that surrounded him, I don't
doubt that like all the natural great artists, he would be creating his
best work.
So, now you know, Miss Irish Miss, what Unka Phil is really all about.
Read te Pete Guralnick books on Elvis to get a real insight the enprmous
talent... then lisyen to the music again.
