Because you want to do the right thing!
Whether or not David is a jerk or not. Because you want to treat him like
you'd like to be treated if you were the customer in such a
transaction.

Subject: [MOPO] EBAY SELLER WARNING
RESPONSE.
David You want to throw a public temper tantrum
then lets do it the right way. Yes I sold you a poster and I did ask you to
send it back because YOU were unhappy with it. The package came to me OPENED
and empty except for 2 pieces of cardboard. On top of that it was delivered to
MY NEIGHBOR not me. I told you about this and since it was insured you filed
the ins claim. I received a letter from the post office asking me to take the
packing to my post office and drop it off. I did that and had them date stamp
a copy of the letter so that I had a way to show the date and time when I
dropped it off. Then I get a email from you asking about a damage report. I
told you I receivd a letter and did what it said. Then you tell me to send a
damage report to some woman at the post office. I tell you I have no DAMAGE
report.Never received one. Then you send me a number to call this person at
the post office. I call it and they dont know who she is. I tell them the
problem and they say YOU NEED TO SHOW the INS RECEIPT. I say that I believe
you already did that and I get a big run around from them. I ask them
again to put me in touch with the person you asked me to call and again they
say they DONT KNOW WHO SHE IS. I tell you this and you send me another email
with the same thing again. I tell you again and you come back with a email
about how im not trying to help you and so on. This pisses me off. What
the hell have I been doing????? I cant do anything else. You have to do it.
You have the ins receipt. So now you get mad because I told the TRUTH that I
cant do anything else that I have done all I can and you do this MOPO
assualt.Yes I made my feedback private. I am late on getting some items out
and have some negs(by the way 2 have been removed)but this has nothing to do
with me and you . So you make this PLEA to MOPo in the guise of a plea
for help when in reality it is you throwing a temper tantrum and you want to
cause me grief. Well all you have done is create more problems for yourself
because I wil NOT help you in ANYWAY now. Why should I???

Warning!!!!
David,
Very sorry to hear about this. I bought a house of frank HS
realart from him awhile back and it did take several emails and some time to
get it from him. I paid a pretty penny also. Other than that it
went OK. Thanks for the heads up.
Good luck and I would pursue it to the hilt to hold him
accountable. Other wise these people will continue to take advantage
of us collectors.
Best, Mark

Buyer
Beware: Ebay ID "coolstuff159" aka "[EMAIL PROTECTED]" aka
Al Shevy, 2525 Knollwood St., Tampa, FL 33614.
This seller
described his poster in "Fine" condition, with no mention of
any defects (photo wasn't very sharp). It arrived with extensive water
damage in the art (heavy rippling, a 2" x10" brownish stain), and a 3"
long bleed-thru from a felt pen mark on the back. I contacted the
seller, stating my disappointment with a poster that should have been
graded as "Fair" at best, and these obvious defects should also have
been noted in the description. He told me to send it back for "resale",
no other explanation offered.
I returned the poster, insured,
packaging it in a flat Priority Mail box, clear packing tape securely
sealing both ends. Seller contacted me to say that only the container
arrived with no contents, asking i! f I wanted him to file the
insurance claim. Many rounds of emails trying to get him to cooperate
with helping me provide the required documentation to USPS to get my
claim processed has resulted in a string of profanity from this seller
in his latest email response.
He had only 1 negative when I bid
on the poster over 2 months ago, but he has recently made his feedback
"private", hiding comments from 4 other individuals in the past month
who also gave him negative feedback. I'm out $450, the insurance claim
still hasn't been approved and since I've never filed a claim before,
I'm uncertain whether it ever will be. Any advice on how you handled a
similar situation is welcome.
