> Dear MOPO members.

I want to sincerely thank all of you who contributed to this fund that JR
(extra thanks to him!) so kindly started. I cannot tell you how much these
things have helped with expected and unexpected expenses incurred due to
Katrina.
This money will be set aside to help me relocate my possessions from two
areas-- my apartment (second floor "uptown" location; I don't think water
reached at all-- certainly not my upstairs location-- and the collection should
be okay); and a storage unit in Metairie, Jefferson Parish's NOLA side of the
Mississippi River. My friend Al was in that area yesterday and reports that
the storage unit looks totally intact. I'm talking to those people today to
determine the status of the unit. The contents, posters included, should be
fine. As soon as I can go in, I plan to do so with a truck and some Ms.
volunteers to get everything that's worth getting in one fell swoop!

If you didn't hear through the "grapevine," my cat Sister Mary Agnes was
rescued due to the tenacity of Nathalie Yafet, on Tuesday. We will go and get
her next week after her check-up stay with the vet.
I have to thank Nathalie for all her work in this. Sister Mary Agnes probably
wouldn't have been found without her. I'm sorry that some of the "passion"
expressed during the search spilled on to MOPO.

I am still uncertain as to my plans for the future. I have no intention of
living again in New Orleans. I love the place and if I were twenty years
younger I'd be jumping right in with Harry Connick Jr. (a true NOLA hero,
folks!!) for the rebuild. . But the nerve-wracking suspense show that has
become the daily weather-cast and the adventursome nature of New Orleans'
future life is something that I now want to avoid.

I've been invited to stay with folks from New Jersey to Western Canada and may
well venture out.
I am performing as Tennessee Williams again in October in Mississippi and will
proceed from there after those performances.

Thanks again for your generosity, caring and support. I'll be back soon-- to
talk about movie posters!!

Take care,

Joe Bonelli
