You can raise your bid when you place two consecutive bids and
your first bid is less than the bidding increment. Your next bid corrects
the spread but that is only because of the bidding increment required by
ebay. This is a technical correction of the spread and you are not and I
repeat not bidding against yourself. You cannot raise any bids against
your own bidding ID (except for this technical adjustment). If you enter
the same username and password you will not bid against yourself. Claude
