I agree.  I tried an auction site called Epier a couple years back which offered free auctions and auto-relisting.  I made a few sales but without the ebay-like traffic it was not enough to fully make the switch.  Then I tried CQOut which has a great look, free listing (you pay a fee on sold items) and auto-relisting.  In a year and half I have sold 4 items out of the couple thousand items I have listed.  It just makes me hesitant to even spend time trying others.

Subject: [MOPO] Ebay, Google, how about Yahoo auctions?

I'm not surprised Google is making a try at auctions, but if Yahoo can't make a dent in ebay's momentum, who can?

I've bought and sold using Yahoo auctions and I love it, no fees, user friendly, my only concern is that it doesn't have as many users as ebay.  You would think with no listing fees and auto relist sellers would be lining up, and some are, but not enough.  I wonder if Google could do any better while they charge fees.  They will have to do some innovative marketing and tie ins to make it work.
