easily be obtained for most of that amount, if the historical and
projected future income stream from the venture could accommodate the
monthly loan payment. But of course, that would be the big question, and
would require a thorough review of Bruce's books and a standard valuation
of the business, as outlined in Dave's earlier post. Anyone who would
purchase a small business like this without having a professional
valuation done first would be quite foolish. We do a valuation of our
practice every time we admit a new partner, to determine the purchase
price of their share of the practice.
