Yes, I was there today and it was great to meet Walter for the first time and to sit with my friends Sue Heim and her partner Sue. Freemen was there and full of good cheer as always...  I was happy, too, that Sue got the SUEZ piece. It's a stunning poster!

Such a great collection Louis had amassed.

I went primarily to see the collection for the last time and to try for the Wheeler and Woolsey RAINMAKER one sheet. It was the only poster I really desired. I even bid a little higher than I had planned but alas did not get it.  I suspect the phone bidder was one of two people but you can never tell who the competition is or why they are bidding on a particular item.

One lady there, who won the Wheeler and Woolsey one sheet for Kentucky Kernels, wanted it because she collects images of ice cream in posters!  She said she went higher than she wanted to but she was happy to have it.  Just goes to show you that there are lots of different ideas when it comes to collecting movie paper!

I was quite surprised at some of the low prices.

I wish I was into collecting material other than Wheeler and Woolsey because I felt it was a good auction for both collectors and dealers.

My 2 cents.
