I seriously doubt they will remove anything from a frame as that
would only be more work for them and I have no doubt that if they
will remove it, they will ask for a fee there as well.
just suck it up & remember for next time

poster alone. The frame is not worth it. As was mentioned last
week, the framing on the posters was very inexpensive framing, not
acid free and just plastic fronts. In addition, many of the frames
were scratched and so was the plastic fronts. First thing I did
with my Suez poster when I got it home was open it up in the
back. The frame was badly scratched but I knew I was reframing it
anyway. The foamcore behind my poster was regular foamcore and had
yellowed so bad I almost had a heart attack. Thank God my poster
was linenbacked, it was the only thing that saved the poster from
the yellowing foamcore. As it is, the actual fabric of the
linenbacking is not supple like it normally is when it is first
done. That is one thing that acid does to fabric, it depletes
moisture in the environment around it and makes things brittle.
Grey Smith bought a bunch of items that were framed and he, too,
was going to take them out of the frames and take them hope rolled up.
