Sorry but I have to disagree in all points. Friends invited me for birthday for a screening of this, and afterwards we were all more or less pissed off, though I admit having a good time at some single sequences (you maybe know the experience when you have to laugh and the rest of the crowd keeps silent, or vice-versa) Pete Jackson may be a good director when it comes to action and FX, here you go through an incredible stupid women character and much more annoying stuff.  (the original was sublime, 'show less and you get more') This is less than mediocre, Bad Taste? Jackson's greatest. You name it. I still love this for what it is.

OK, after a year of waiting, I saw Peter Jackson's version of KING KONG the other night... 3 hours never went by so fast. I have mixed reactions, but it is *definitely* something that must be seen on the big screen with the big surround-sound systems. I'll hold off on a full review for another week to give y'all a chance to check it out.
