well, the stamp on the back seems to indicate that this is authentic but it is trimmed and, at this astronomical price, I wouldn't touch it.  Plus, from past experience, this seller refuses returns under any circumstances whatsoever.
Maybe this is an authentic trimmed poster at an inflated price and the War of the worlds is an authentic fake at an even more inflated price?

Hi Walter!

Great Catch! That's an Interesting observation and I would have to agree with you! By the way, the same seller has a "The Great Escape" One Sheet on eBay (see link below). I've seen this version once or twice before, but was never sure if it is a legitimate poster or a reprint of some kind.....do you have any idea if this poster is legit or not?

Thanks, Walter!
Ed :-)

Ebay seller is offereing what is claimed to be original 1965 War of the Worlds reissue one sheet

He states that it is trimmed to 26 x 39" because that is the size used for overseas release.  That is not true.  I have had this poster before and it definitely measures 27 x 41".  Furthermore, there have been many Italian reprints of classic posters, which generally measure 26 x 39".  How hard would it be to take one of those 10 euro reprints, fold it, and then say that this is a very very rare original????
