You are right Joe.........she was a great actress and a what a character,
especially in her old age. She had some great roles. She was such a monster in
Patch of Blue, a role that always stood out to me. Loved her in
Poseidon and, I too, just watched Night of the Hunter recently. They don't
make 'em like that anymore!

Shelley Winters has passed away at the age of 85.
One of
my favorite actresses!! The movies have lost a great and late-night tv
deterioated a few years back when Shelley stopped coming on.
Just
watched "Night of the Hunter" a couple of days ago with a young friend who had
nev er seen her. He was as impressed with Winters as with the
rest.
From "A Place in the Sun" to "The Poseidon Adventure" she gave it
all.
